Hi all, just cam across this ace board so wanted to show my stuff off so far and any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Here we go:-

I am not a very avid dr who fan but hav been wanting to have a go at K9 for quite a while now,

I recently redid the eyes cus i got the lenses caked in super glue!! doh!

More pics to be added when more is done.

Here are the pics so far:-

Thinking about it, rc parts pretty expensive though, spose depends on how much i knew i cud get for him on fleabay??? any ideas?

If you just want him to run around then he is big enought to just hide a RC car under him. Proper RC for head and all would of cource be more complicated.

Exactly what I was gonna suggest. Get a cheapo RC car (You can pick up an RC Car at Walmart for $30) and then tear it apart and use the RC parts to control your K-9. I bought a remote control Monkey head once and tore it apart to use the RC parts, Cool thing about it was that it had 12 different servos that worked wonderfully for the project I was working on. It sure beats going out and paying hundreds of dollars for each custom individual servo and relay when you have them all at your fingertips from a cheap toy.

When i was a kid i made a K-9 out of different things, cardboard mainly. Tried to make it RC with a cheap car from radio shack....but even with it being 90% cardboard, it was still too heavy. The whole thing was crap really, cept for the head. The head was great. It's still floating around my mother's house somewhere
