Not nearly as exciting as the Who prop threads I know, but thought it might be interesting to some. This is the Doctor Who Interactive Sonic Screwdriver Set...
The 'interactive' part is that each screwdriver can shoot the other and score 'hits' - it's basically laser tag. You get a sonic screwdriver, laser screwdriver, plus a Toclafane 'practice target'.
The screwdrivers have no moving parts but do have lights and sound. Each device shows its lives remaining as LEDs on the side. There is a tiny on/off switch, plus a tiny 'reset' button. The 'firing' lights now flash, whereas on previous toys they were steady.
I also thought it might be interesting to show a comparison between the toys to date. From the left: LED torch, original SS (I got the early edition with the ivory colour and the shallow 'crackle'), interactive SS; original LS, interactive LS.
As you can see, the sonics keep getting bigger; the lasers however are very close to identical (there are some tiny differences).
Hope this is of some use.
