Donny Donowitz's Bat

Does anyone plan to make this bat when the Basterds DVD comes out? This would be quite the prop to own, especially if all the carvings/ signatures/ dents and scratches were perfect.

edit: you didn't see that

Sulla, what did you use for the blood? I haven't been able to find realistic fake blood in years. Is it custom paint or a product?

The company is “Hutton and Aldrich,” which is a homage to two of Tarantino’s favorite directors — Brian G. Hutton and Robert Aldrich.
Another interesting fact about the bat is that it is signed by all the Jews in Donny’s neighborhood. A scene was shot to explain this, but it didn’t make the final cut. Before I found the interview, I thought the names were just some of Donny’s favorite jewelry stores.

I didnt mind Roth for the role. He wouldnt have been my first choice, but the character didnt call for great acting skills. He was the American caricature (alongside Aldo), and his part wasnt very big either. There are probably better actors who could have played the part, but again, I didnt think it called to be taken very seriously compared to the others in the movie.

This stuff really is great. My bat is over a year old in those pix above. And it's been left in the garage, propped up in corners, used to hit some balls, and generally abused. And it still looks great.

I used a cheap travel spray bottle form Wal Mart for that effect.

My daughter is only 17 months old but I am saving it for when she starts dating. :)

Sorry for the late reply. Here is where I got the 'permablood': http://www.palenightproductions.com/blood.html

Thank You! I look forward to trying it. After looking at that site I want to build something that would need the 55 gallon drum size.

:lol Love the idea of the baseball bat to ward off guys. My ex's dad was a fire fighter and had several axes hanging on their wall....as well as a tattoo on his right arm of his three daughters and him standing behind them with a smoking shotgun! He liked me though :)
