Yeah, lost deposits suck - but they did let us know that deposits were for material purchase and would be non-refundable. The options are to abandon ship and lose a little, sell your spot (which no one is interested in now, but wait til they start shipping - suddenly people will want on board), or pay the remaining balance and have some awesome armor that reminds you of the frustrating journey it took to get it

Have you gotten a new table set up in Curtis's shop yet? Let's see some ABS!
Do you have boxes to ship out armor yet? You planned to have all the bucks done by end of January! Let's get rolling here!

Looking fantastic! I'm gonna havta repaint my helmet - I didn't get it that shiny what thickness of ABS is it? 1, 1.5, 2mm?
Oh, and I do take back what I said about the recessed areas that formed into those areas way cleaner than I would've thought

Are you seriously sliding back to not doing anything with this project again? It's been over a month since any update. At this point you should be updating us weekly.
Please tell me I'm wrong and your about to start shipping.

Hey Guys,<br />

An update, the bucks basically ready for production, just a few molds remain to make like the belt box molds, gasket molds and a few others. I have been keeping my weekend open and making myself available and trying to get together with the rocketeer every weekend since the last update and get a bunch of the forming done. The Vac table and bucks and supplies are at the rocketeers shop. I always have to travel to his shop about an hour away, I only get a chance to do this on the weekends do to having a day job on the weekdays. However he has not been able to work or has something else going on or ignores my txts, making things difficult and very frustrating. This project has been a real nightmare for me and really stressful, it is not the way I like to do things. There for I am offering a refund from my half of the project. This is a 50/50 project with the rocketeer. So I am going to take the big loss and offer the $250 back that would be my half of the deposits for the project. Please send me your paypal and I will get it under way.<br />

Same here. Why send a group email when you could have just put it on the boards? My response was, he's taking a loss on giving half our money back. What? Huh? I'm still out $500 with nothing to show. I just want the armor that I put a deposit down on, well over a year ago.

I may have misunderstood Anime's message. I thought he wanted to refund us $250, and scrap the project.

We did all agree that the deposit was non-refundable. Getting half back is generous, IMHO. Animefan has paid for the material already and is basically taking no money for all of the work he has done up to this point. We are all still on the list for a suit when they are completed, it just means the final investment for us will be 1150 instead of 1400. The glass is half-full, gentlemen
I may have misunderstood Anime's message. I thought he wanted to refund us $250, and scrap the project.

I don't think anyone is getting partial kits. 10 people agreed to Kickstart an armor that hasn't seen fruition, yet - there is a decent start, but the rocketeer has taken this over and is busy with finishing other runs before starting this back up. We all agreed pay a non-refundable deposit, which is sitting in unformed ABS plastic and a vacuum form table. Believe you me, I would like to see this done sooner than later, also, just don't plan on it. This one will be hanging for awhile vac form bucks just take sooooo much time. Like 3-4x what resin casting does. The rocketeer will be working for free to finish the bucks for this, which isn't much motivation, I'm sure, however, I would hope that the payoff at least makes it worth the time soon
