My Serenity version arrived today, here it is with QMX version on top. Very pleased with it, it has some heft to it. This was tracking number RA839783141IT can't wait to see the Firefly one!

Mine arrived yesterday and it is a stunning looking piece. Here it is next to my QMx Serenity version. I am using the case for that to keep it safe for now but will need to get a new plaque made up.

Once the other one arrives, I will gladly leave positive feed back. You sure use a lot of stamps shipping from Italy, my box was covered.

Since I'm still waiting on my Serenity gun and extra mag, just a question: how does the mag sit into the gun? I see the extra mag has some kind of "pin" on the front. Does this lock in place somehow when it's inserted? Just curious .

The extra mag is just for display, the one in the gun must not be removed

Ah, OK, thanks for clarifying. I thought the mag would be removable... Not that it matters much, because my gun would only be on display (and so will the extra mag). Pics look fantastic, I must say. Looks like you did a great job on these, mate. :thumbsup

I was also interested in a decent stand and I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but have not found anything yet but would be interested if someone decided to do a run of these. Because of the quality of the gun it should be something special, I am thinking a nice wood base and acrylic uprights but open to ideas if anyone wants to take this on.

I did't either. The assumption being that if you make extra mags that look like they are functional, you can swap them out.

The model 47 had magnets holding the magazine in place. You could probably rig something similar up, unless they are glued in.

If I take a look at the pics, I see some holes in the mag that corresponds with the screws I see on the gun:



So I guess they are screwed in place, not glued. In that case i guess it would be possible to remove these screws, put some magnets in place on the mags, and have them in the gun with magnets instead of screws... Should not be too much of a problem (unless the screws that screw the mag in place, also secures some other parts of the gun. Maybe someone that already has his gun in hand, can let us know?)

I guess so. Look at the pictures of Johnnyfl: the gun looks far more bronze / brown there... If I compare those pics with a picture of the original, I guess it's pretty spot on:

It started out mostly brown with a little brass coming through and got more brown rubbed off as the series went on.

I believe the last of the finish was removed during the casting process for Serenity

Question please. were the packages insured? I would like to know what happens. if there swallowed up by the dark abyss of the mail courier system..
