Don Robert's Tron Legacy

izabel do you have patterns of the pieces you made that you could upload pics of? If so please do, they could really help a lot of us on here lol.

aw...we don't have patterns. that's straight cut & glue. that's how DR works. :confused

I went through a your posts and I couldn't find the answer I'm a long time admirer of your work :D

What type of glue do you use and what is the thickness of your material that you used?

Please and thank you

we use cyanoacrylate glue. as for the rubber we normally use 2mm or 4mm. :)

My computer just erased my last reply for some unknown reason so this one will be a little less detailed :)

Great work, two questions:

How did you get such clean edges with the foam? Seems like when you cut it with an exacto knife it is a little rough. Did you sand it somehow or just use something else to cut it?

Second question, I saw you mentioned Boysen Acrylic Emulsion so I went here:

Boysen The Number 1 Paint - The Leading Paint Manufacturer - products

I'm guessing he used either the clear acrylic emulsion, or the Boysen Permacoat Latex, or maybe the Permatex? Even if you don't know, thank you very much for all the information here. It has been very helpful and fun to read.

Hi chad. hmmmm...really? it goes rough? i see DR cut rubber here and its just smooth. maybe it depends on the type of rubber??? not sure. we just use cutter or plain scissors to cut it.

as for the emulsion... its this one-> Boysen The Number 1 Paint - The Leading Paint Manufacturer - products

hope it helps. :)

I just checked and most of the rough parts were able to just be picked off fairly easy. Just thought it would wind up looking torn but, I am just paranoid I think :)

And yes, that helps a lot. Again, thanks for taking the time to put this information on here. It helps a lot.
