Don Robert's Tron Legacy

Boy, that reflector tape really works, eh? :lol

i guess so. :rolleyes

Is the rubber you use easy to form fit to a body? I am planning on buying some of the stuff you guys have and am planning on maybe heating it up and pressing it against the body to have the form fitting look. Have you tried this method before?

~Shadowshail

nope. we haven't tried using heat. it'll probably melt. :confused

actually the rubber is flexible enough but i think fitting would really depend on how you form the pieces together.

First off DAMN that's awesome!!! Wow I need to stop all my plotting and planning and just get to work :lol

thanks. :)

Quorra :rolleyes

robert did the helmet just today. :)

Great work you two! Loving Don's, Sam, yes very accurate and your Quorra helmet! You are the 1st to get a Quorra helmet made! I love it!

I want NO, need to get my hands on that L-200, rubber material you guys are using. Looks so easy to work with and much more durable than craft foam.

My pet crackpot theory is that all things talent and intelligence are available in a limited supply. I'm awful when it comes to making things with my hands, but in this case I know where my due share went to.

Congratulations, you make things that have me stare at the screen again and again wondering "how the heck does he do all that ???"'

Wow, this looks great! Totally the way I want to build my Tron costume. Thanks for the inspiration.

:thumbsup glad you liked it!

Congrats on first place! :lol Hopefully soon my Quorra helmet will start coming together. Great job on duplicating the form/shape of it... it's quite an organic piece! :thumbsup

I think the rubber is EVA foam since that's what most companies use for "flip-flops" for yanks "thongs" for us Aussies.

UPDATE as of 01.28.11. Robert just started on my Quorra suit this afternoon. Also he just completed my helm. Will just use mesh for the eye holes. Quorra helm 99% complete, ~teehee. We're hoping to use it sunday so probably tomorrow he'll try to finish it. :)

Excellent work! I'm wanting to make a couple of Tron Legacy costumes for my 2 1/2 year old twin boys. This is definitely the way to go.

I love the shape of the chest plate you guys used.

I'm gonna be "borrowing" it :)

Can't wait to see your next progress post!

Keep up the fantastic work guys!
