Dollar Store Iron Man Arc Reactor Contest

I think the sub categories are a good idea too. I think allowing people the option to do anything they want could produce some really interesting results. And I'm sure many of us will still be doing a movie accurate arc reactor at some point in time.

Count me pending, I'd be in for making a custom one. :D (In a cave no less. :lol) Would the Whiplash reactor count towards a screen accurate arc reactor? (Or would it be possible to have to enter a custom and a SA one? You do get 2 votes! LOL. :lol :p ;) )

EDIT - Someone donate a Sideshow arc reactor so I could have a slim chance at getting one! :lol

OR...mabey the person with least votes should get that. :lol In that case...I'd win. Or loose. But win. :lol

What's the policy on scrap wire and stuff?

You can use scrap stuff, but keep in mind it should be kept to a minimum. If you want LEDS in it though, those should be taken out of something you purchased at the dollar store.

You can enter 2 reactors if you like, BUT if you win in more than 1 category you only get the prizes for winning in 1 of the categories, not both. (The chances of this happening are incredibly slim, but I just thought I would point it out though.)

So, would I be right to say that any "functional" pieces (Light, sound, effects) should either be purchased directly from a dollar store or sourced in some way from the same type of store, while non-fuctional/form-elements (Wire for decoration, plastic bits, etc) can be pulled from our junk?

I just want to make sure I follow the rules to a T!

Yes, you've got it. If you use some junk pieces here and there that's fine, we just don't want reactors made entirely out of "junk". haha.

In.

The dollar store saber build was a lotta fun might as well have another go at it.
