Like with the Newb v Noob spelling thing, I was wrong and edited my post removing my comment towards your spelling of it, if you're abbreviating Newbie, that's how you would do it.

If responsibility for the competition does change hands, all that should be required is for those whose pictures have not yet appeared to mail/PM them to the new competition administrator (of course this relies on trust that they were completed before the deadline). The new competition administrator already has access to a full list of links to the existing images by hitting 'quote' on Darth's post and copying and pasting the resulting code (after removing the entrants' names!) into a new thread.

There are only THREE of us who were not posted. DarthCalibar posted 10 entries and says in the quoted post that there were 13 people, so that only leaves three that he didn't post. So it's me, Ikariya and fotokid. There's no way it can go back to being anonymous. What has been seen cannot be unseen, what is known can't become unknown unless somebody has a T10 Neuralizer
There's 7 custom, 2 movie accurate and 1 unknown in the already posted entries if I counted correctly. Mine is (laughingly) custom. If the 3 unknowns are MA, that's a pretty good divide, but if not, then it's heavy on the custom and not really enough entries to do the three votes, one for custom, one for movie accurate and one for best overall, and if you do the three catagories, there's only three prizes--enough for a 1st prize in each category. Or you can have 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes if you put everybody in the same boat--then all members get one vote for what the think is the best Arc Reactor, and we entrants do not get to vote. Someone will have to make that decision and also decide how the prizes will be awarded.
So I suggest a new voting thread be posted because this one is such an utter mess, with the ten already posted entries and the three additional entries, and let the voting begin!

I would re-post them as anonymous anyways. To be honest I've been keeping away from the first post in this thread and most people are probably like me in that they wouldn't remember who was who if a new thread was posted.

I have copied the first post here with all of it's photo information and can either complete this contest myself (by contacting the three members with missing entries via PM and getting their pics, I could have a new thread up within 30 mins of receiving the three missing entries) or pass that info on to someone you appoint to complete the contest.
Obviously DC has other things going on in his life right now that are more important than this contest but that doesn't change the fact that the people who entered it in good faith are being screwed around here. I don't have an entry but am contributing a prize, if I had an entry I would be very upset to say the least.

Okay, I've taken the liberty to PM those with missing entries with an email address they can send them to. I will convert the pics, upload them to my flickr, and then either complete the contest myself or pass the text info for a new voting thread directly to Jason to post so he just has to copy and paste.

If there's a shortage of prizes, I suggest a post in the JY. There a lot of people with more stuff than they know what to do with - and one man's junk is another man's prize!

In replay to some of the other post.
1. I suggested the idea of all the entries being re-sent to the new contest leader. (if there ends up being one, witch it looks like that is the way this will have to go.) Because, wall some of the pics for each entry were posted in this thread, the other pics required of each entry are not. (i.e. the pretty pics are up, but not the proof of purchase, and before pics.) Now yes, I , or who ever takes over, could assume that because these pics where posted in this thread, that those folks met the requirements, and that those other pics were submitted. However, the whole point of asking for those "Proof" pics, is for the logistics of it all. If someone (I, or some one else) takes this over, and something goes wrong, or some-one says "hey I don't believe that was made from dollar store stuff" Then the person running this thing, can say, yes, I have their proof right here, that that did in deed, make it from dollar store stuff.
It's not a big thing, we can certainly move forward without those with pics already posted, sending in their stuff again, I was just trying to cover all the base. I no-one cares about that, then I certainly don't. (just don't hang the new guy in charge, who ever it ends up being, if he has no proof, that any of the entries, are legit. )
2. I really like the overall idea of this contest, However, yes, I do have some problems with the rules as they stand. However, they are the rules that were laid down from the start, and (as much as possible) those are the rules we should fallow. I think the 3 category thing was a messy idea from the start. (really no offence, I've just worked in with people enough to know, nothing like that goes simply, or smoothly.) I think most voters will be confused, and muck it up a bit, but you were all promised 3 categories, and I think it should stay that way.
As for the prizes, I don't think if should have ever been posted that there would be "3 prizes for the top 3 people in each categoriesy", before enough prizes were found.
It's a little unfair to all of you. (well a lot unfair.) I've doen this contest thing before, and I can tell you, it is not as easy as it looks, and you have to take what you can get, or come up with, for prizes, but I would personally have never promised prizes that I couldn't deliver. (but that's just me, and maybe Darth had some more prizes up his sleave, I don't know) At best right now, the best you all can hope for on the prize front, is that those that donated the existing prizes, are still willing to donate them, and if no-one else steps up with prizes, then that will be it. In other words, right now, it looks like there would be 1 prize for the winner of each category. I know that sucks, since you were all looking for more then that. But you shouldn't write checks your butt can't cash, and my butt (or the butt of who ever takes over) should not be expected to cash checks that some one else wrote, and could not cash.
3. Yes the cat is out of the bag for most entries. However, most folks are not involved enough to keep track of who made who. I mean, sure, if they step in to this thread, and see there best friends name able an entry then yes, they will vote for that person, and we will have a problem. However, if we take this thread all the way down, and repost the pics anonymously, in a new order, in a new thread, I guaranty most folks, out side of those actually in the contest, wont know who's is who's. Great folks do GREAT runs of stuff here all the time, they think they are going to be legends, and in most cases, a few months after it's all over, you start seeing posts that say "I think some bodied did a run of those a wile back, but I forget the dudes name." We all think we are more important, and indispensable, then we real are. (no offence, and I don't mean to be a downer, I'm just speaking from experience.) I'm not saying you are not all important, valuable people. I'm just saying , if they take this thread down, and a day or two later, we post a new one, with no names, almost no-one (out side of those that made something for the contest) will have any idea of who made what. Especially if we ask people not to post any names that they may remember from this thread. (i.e. "If you happen to recall the names of who made what from the old thread, please do not post those names, as we would like folks to forget, and move this thing forward as anonymously as possible") But this thread needs to come down A.S.A.P.
Like I said, I have no power or authority here. These are just my suggestions, and offers, but it's not my contest, and I don't have the power to appoint myself, or anyone else the head of it. If the mods do step in, end this thread, and allow someone to take this thing to the end, then I would be happy to help out, as much or as little as you all want. (it souls like Orange_Blend would be a great person for the job, do to Hi speed connection ,a responsible nature, and a desire to help out.
) But for god sake, MODs Step in, and do something. Give the rains to of this thing to one of us, or close this thing down for good, but lets not drag this out as it is, any longer. Darth disappeared for a month last time. (Apparently for good reason.) But we can not keep these good folks waiting another month or more, on a contest that many are already fed up with. I know you may want to stay out of this, but all we are asking is that you either end it, or give one of us, the power to fix it. This think can not go on forever.
I have received Shylaah's photos, just waiting for the other two. For the prizes I propose just two categories (custom and movie accurate) with two prizes for custom due to the amount of entries and one for movie accurate. Currently we only have two confirmed prizes available: Jedifyfe's Iron Man paper props and 2 copies (one aged and one new) of my Raiders Bible Page.
I'm more than happy to take over the voting on this contest. Jason, would you be willing to try and track down a third prize? A post in the junkyard or maybe some PM's to members who have Iron Man postings to see if they would like to be a hero and offer up something or a large discount on something for the people here who have worked so hard in good faith. I'd offer something else but unfortunately my collection is Iron Man free.

That's my current idea. I'll be removing the names and changing the order to do my best to make these as anonymous as possible. Also I will have all the custom ones lumped together and all the movie accurate ones lumped together. Custom entries will be numbered and Movie Accurate entries will have a letter, everyone gets one vote of each.

I'd also offered 2 of my Dalek: To Victory! Posters. I will happily increase that to 3, so that means there's one for every winner if needs be.
I received your email, just waiting on the last entry and we'll be good to go, maybe even this evening. I'm assuming at this point that I'm doing this so I will proceed that way until a MOD tells me otherwise.
For the voting we'll do it as planned. One vote for best Custom, one vote for best Movie Accurate, and one vote for best Overall.
There will be one prize for each category for now as we have three (thank you MacMantis!) If we are able to acquire more prizes I will add a second place to the custom category as that has the most entries. I'm optimistic that we will but I don't want to promise anything until we have them.
The order for picking prizes will be:
1-Best Overall
2-Best Custom
3-Best Movie Accurate
4-Second Place Custom (if applicable)
If one entry wins both their category and the best overall then they only receive the first prize for best overall and their category will go to the entry with the second most votes.
For future contest holders I'd recommend against multiple categories, this is a little convoluted but I want to remain as true to what people signed up for as possible.
Does that sound fair to everyone?
