Yea people are also only making one vote, I think Darth threw this up to make us stop bugging him :lol.

In my opinion what should happen is the thread should be deleted, and all at once the entrys should be posted. As far as the anonymous part, he could shuffle the ones already posted inbetween the ones we have not seen.

But I love the reactors and I am really jealous of some people. Great job guys I cant wait to see the rest.

Yeah voting hasn't started yet... but I figured I should post the entries I had... The whole idea of posting these anonymously hadn't even crossed my mind. It's kind of late for that though. *facepalm* Sorry about that. The reason it has been taking so long to get these posted is because most people sent me their images as attachments, which means i have to download them to my computer and then re upload them somewhere, and then put the img code into the post. It's not difficult, but when applied to 3 pictures for 13 people each, it takes a while...

I'll have the other entries up and voting instructions by the end of the day. I'm considering just having one category instead of two now since most of the reactors are custom designs anyways. I would like feedback on this though. I feel like it wont be as fun for the 2 or 3 people that made movie accurate reactors if they end up winning prizes just by default because they had no competition...

I think it takes special skill to be able to replicate the movie version rather than just using random stuff that looks cool. Since fewer people managed it, they deserve the increased chance of winning. They're also of course in the running for the over-all prize too.

Only 13 entries? What happened to the other 40 people who signed up for this?

My thinking is folks will vote based on quality of construction and interesting design/features not so much on whether it is movie accurate or custom. I say have one category for the whole contest.

Since it was in the rules that it would be two categories and three votes, I think it should stay that way. This is what the entrants expected and it probably influenced the decision of some on which build they attempted.

You know, I'm voting for this one. Really clean lines, looks like something that would show up in some of the more current Ironman comics. We definitely should see a parts list for any entry though, because I'm not sure what this one is made of.

I would perfer it stay as 2 catergories though orginally it was 3 catergories everyone seems to have forgotted about the "best overall"

6. Voting will work as follows; Each voter gets 3 votes, 1 vote for "Most movie accurate", 1 vote for "Best Overall", and 1 vote for "Best Custom Design".

There will be prizes for each of the 3 winners in each category.

I agree with knightjar if it was only going to be custom reactors then it should have been stated at the beginning. Changing the rules now would not be fair to those that made the movie accurate ones as I do think they are harder to make because your tring to replicate an existing design with very cheap and low quality materials.

Best Movie version.... # 9.

Best Custom #10.

Best Over-all #10 again. It is inspired, has great lines, compact, and nothing says futuristic technology better than a blue LED! :lol

I'd keep the three categories as that's what was advertised personally. If there are only 3-4 entries for screen accurate maybe only have one prize for that category.

This thread is starting to be very confusing. Are we voting yet, not voting? Are there still entries still to be uploaded. Also, the first post isn't very organized. The customs are mixed in with the screen accurates. What is the third category anyway?


I say delete this thread and start a new once once all entries are in and uploaded and we are ready to start voting. Also, organize things a bit better and let's take the usernames off so everything is anonymous.
