Does the Star Trek Experience still have Communicators and Phaser squirtguns?

I'm not seeing it on their website. :( But a friend is going there and may be able to pick one up at the actual store. Do they still have them in stock in Vegas?

Don't know about the squirt guns, but the comms are long sold out.

the squirt guns were on clearance back in may when we were there. At that time, they had maybe 30 or so. I bought one, should have bought a few more.

I was there in July and then again in September, and I didn't notice any. Then again, I spent most of my time in Quark's bar, which may explain why my observation skills weren't at their peak.

I hear the Communicators are sold out and will not be restocked...DST (Diamond Select Toys) will be picking up the communicators now and coming out with their first run in Feb '08. There is currently a topic going here about them somewhere.

I am not sure about the Water Pistols, I do see them on ebay from time to time, might try looking there, usually they are from 9.99 to 18.00.

Well, that's awfully disappointing. And annoying. Finally have someone GOING there, and they can't even bring back an armory. Poop poop and double poop! Oh, well.

Seems kinda surprising. I'd tend to think that those'd be a regular good long-term seller. But I guess if they were clearancing them, and having no plans of restocking, they probably must have sold about as many as made financial sense for 'em.

I am looking forward to the Art Asylum version. At least someone's finally doing it. Kinda crazy, take's toy companies 40 YEARS to start producing the crap they should have when the show was on! And in the first 10 years of syndication.... I know they couldn't have done accurate sounds and all. But they certainly had the technology to make a squirt gun as accurate as that! 'Course, back then, no one really knew how popular the show was. And that people would want accurate toys. (Duh!)

Ah, well, that's what I get for not having a decent job a long time ago so I could do all sorts of wacky traveling to strange places to pick up odd toys. :rolleyes

Yeah, no worries. It looks decent enough for the amount of money, but I think the AA is going to be much better.

I want a decent CHIRP!

A friend of mine got one of the Vegas communicators, and yeah, the sounds were very unimpressive. The AA ones look like they'll be just as good visually, probably have better sound, and be half the price. So it's not a terrible, except for the fact that I will have to exercise patience. :lol And I've already got one squirt gun. But, c'mon! I woulda loved to get a couple more for 10 bucks a piece. Instead of paying ebay price, plus shipping. Seem like they'd be fun to pimp out. More work than the AA phasers, but still....

The Vegas phaser water pistol was good because it resembled the Master Replicas in both shape and price, but at about one millionth the cost. :lol

However it was still a water pistol, and had that oversize trigger and silver-painted plastic parts. :unsure

However the Art Asylum toy phasers are still around, and those rock. They have had like seven different repaints on those; only one of them is close to being correct. :lol But you can easily repaint them and get a really nice phaser with electronic sound and lights, for little money when compared to a "real" replica.

The AA Communicator is based off of the MR molds that Vegas Experience also used, so it will probably look really familiar. But it too will be cheap and fun as a toy at least.

Yeah, I've got a couple of the AA white handled phasers, and the original black handled. I want to get another 6 pack of 'em (don't care which color, just want 'em cheap :D), so I can paint some of 'em up. Be nice to have a "full set" ala The Galileo Seven, but I also want at least one of each of the 3 (major?) paint schemes. I picked up one of the aluminum sets from Nickytea (nice!), and probably get some more metal parts so I can "hero up" at least one phaser, preferably more. But at my current prop building rate, I don't have to have parts overnighted to me. :rolleyes I do like having spare parts around, just in case I get a wild hair.

Plus it'd be kinda fun to have a tricked out squirter, just cuz. (Cuz I'm not gonna be getting an MR or Coyle any time soon! Tho that would be nice.)
