Does Plastidip just peel off a mold?

I'm thinking of making a spike mold and then applying plastidip to it, then later peeling it off for a nice, uniform tapered dred that I could stuff with batting. I've had tools with plastidipped handles, and I could always slide them off with a little oomph. Anyone know if this idea would work on dreds.

Plasti drip comes in paint cans or spray cans and the stuff in the paint cans is stronger stuff. I think it would be strong enuff for what your wanting to do. I have not seen a place that sells black latex; but most paint places will sell or give you paint tint.
