...The TARDIS sits in wait for its Timelord.

This was a quick build for me, I wanted to have to done prior to me deploying for RIMPAC/ SOUTHPLOY.

The kit is from Airfix's Welcome Aboard kit. The main color is from a rattle can, Krylon Satin Blue, followed with a 3:1 grey/black wash of Tamiya acrylic. I also replaced the crummy speaker with a compact bass speaker, and swaped out the blue lantern LED with a white one.

I took these shots in Sidney, British Columbia.

Bloody hell the first photo really fooled me into thinking you had built a full size one.
One word: AMAZING!!!!!!

That looks awesome, I never would have guessed it was a scale model if it had not been for what section of the forum it was in but I can't lie here I did do a double take just to make sure.

Thanks a lot gents! Seeing you avatar shots with your tardises (Tardi?), I can see mine ihas been inspected by those in the know!

Very nice, except there seems to have been a miscalculation in the measurements taken for the chameleon circuit. As such, I think it shrunk a bit. ;)

Very well done and excellent photography! BTW, what's with all the doggy footprints in the sand?

good timing - I started building mine last night before seeing this thread. I was thinking about illuminating the windows and replacing the blue LED

I decided for the windows to go with a unlit look, but with the dust and grime visible. So I painted some gray on the inside of the window corners, which I sanded down to get rid of the sharp edges. After that I used Wimbledon White for the rough corner windows, and then US navy white for the other windows. Once dry, I used the same wash on the windows as I did on the rest of the Tardis. I like the way the windows turned out
