Doctor Who: Roger Delgado as The Master

I'm working on a Roger Delgado version of the Master. I've obtained vintage patterns for a Nehru jacket and now have to but fabric. I thought that would be easy - black fabric. But upon closer inspection it looks like the jacket isn't exactly black. Maybe charcoal or some pattern?
I thought I'd come to the RPF for help!

Basicly its a a grey wool Nehru suit. with trim on the sleeves.
