Doctor Who on SciFi?

All the Dr Who threads have me wondering... when is Dr Who going to be on SciFi again? It seems like it's been two years since it's been on TV here in the States.

I'm not into torrents, and don't get the BBC. Is there another way to watch this series?

DVD!:lol

Re: Dr Who on SciFi?

Many of the series have been released on Netflix Instant View. Even the first 2 seasons of Torchwood were just released this past week.

Re: Dr Who on SciFi?

I always find it weird when people spell Doctor Who "Dr. Who". He's not a physician :lol

Re: Dr Who on SciFi?

You could always stream it online.

I use ninjavideo.net. It's pretty reliable and doesn't link farm you to a million different websites. Make sure you click on that link on the top (the one that says "Click here to launch the NinjaVideo Helper Beta 0.3.10"). It's just an applet to run the video, no malware.

QFT

The only way I can get BBC America here is Digital cable and it is one of only 3 channels we would watch on digital. Guess I'll have to wait for the DVDs.

Oh and as far as the original question, I don't think The Doctor will be back on SciFi...er...SyFy.

I think they lost the license or something and now it's just BBC America.

And once again, ninjavideo.net. They have all the new Who, right up to The End of Time, Part Two (though only season 3 of Torchwood and no Sara Jane Adventures).

Re: Dr Who on SciFi?

And how legal is this? I don't like the idea of an "applet" launching either. If I was going to go this route, I'd rather just torrent it.

Legality: same as watching a TV show on YouTube. If someone is going to get in trouble, it's the host of the video.

Applet: most videos you watch online--flash, divx, quicktime--require the downloading of a codec pack to watch. this is basically the same thing, it just doesn't get saved to your harddrive. also, it may be in place to check for the human factor, much like a captcha.

So this is pretty safe? Never heard of it before...
