I'm DROOLING over all the great Doctor Who toys. Anyone know of a US source for this stuff? I'm trying to avoid paying overseas shipping.

I hope it looks as good in real life... Someone said it's actually tooled from an original helmet. Which could mean its a refined version of the original prop.

Well if it's anything like the sonic screwdriver, I was able to source mine over the pond and even with overseas shipping it was less then what the few US based stores offering it were charging...

what gets me is why have they released two versions of the sonic screwdriver one with a nice smooth body on it and one that looks like someone stood on it weird if you ask me. either way glad i got the smooth version

I have it on good authority that the back goes about 2/3rds down. So while not all the way it shouldnt be too hard to mod it.

The voice changer is a Cyberhead at 1:1 scale which features speech, sound effects and lights. Requires 3 x AA batteries When you talk the mouth lights up blue and your voice sounds like a cyberman. Hi all,

Finally some shots on eBay of the back of the helmet (no I still don't have one yet):-

I think it shows pretty clearly where the helm ends (at the lines), so it doesn't have a full back, damn. Still I imagine someone will rectify that in the not too distant future

Still can't wait to get one though.
