Doctor Who "Bolt Gun" pic request

Does anyone have, or can any more be kind enough to make, some screen caps from the episode showing the Bolt Gun?

It's from series 2, the conlcusion, "Satan Pit". The commander pulls it from a wall locker. I wouldn't mind seeing a shot of the wall locker either :)

It looked like it was based off a video game light gun, one of the law giver type clones.

Thanks in advance. :D

It was definitelyy the light gun your thinking of. Although I cannot take caps, I did Tivo the episode and went back to take a look. The most telling shot of it is when the locker is first opened and you can see the handle.

Oddly enough, as luck would have it my friend Ryan sent me a repaint of some guns he did today. Look what was among them?? :D

This should be the base gun used. I tivo'd the show too, I don't have a method of capping from that other than taking a picture of the TV screen, that tends to not be great :lol but it may have to do.

Incidentally, here is the other repaint Ryan did. Looks cool:

Is the DVD for series 2 out in the UK??

It doesn't hit shelves here until January.

I really enjoyed the whole season. I thought it was probably the best show I'd seen in years, certainly recently. :thumbsup

Yup, thats the light gun. I have the same one sitting in a box of toy gun fodder.

Is the rifle a repaint of that new Nerf gun?

From a little searching around I did a little while ago on this, the model used is this one:

Note the clip on sight rail. It is actually used to beef up the prop, though the front fins are cut off.

Known as a Ballistic '4 Gamers' Lightgun, AKA 'Predator 2' with 'Super Scope".

Screengrab (apologies for low quality - from an 'unknown' source. ;) ):

I think the red-orange pushbutton (by the thumb section of the grip) was added for the 'targetting' light that is on when Rose fires at the window. It could be that the light was there to key the firing effect to.

There's never a good clear view of the right side during the episode. But this shot (from Dr Who Confidential) shows some of the 'wear' marks and seems to confirm that there is no thumb button:

NOTE for screengrabbers: There is a FLIPPED SHOT of the boltgun on the console just before Rose blasts out the window.

Finally some cleaned-up pics I put together:

I never got around to completeing one, so I hope that helps ya out.

Coz.

Still working on it...

After all the attempts to ID the struts on the side in the last thread failed, I scratchbuilt my own and cast them in resin. I did a lot of the prep work on the light gun too, just need to build the front section and build the 'ladder' at the front that attaches to the side struts. Hope to get around to it soon.

Thought I'd give this a bump, as I'm actually working on this now

Wow! Great progress. :)

when I came across this thread a wile back, and saw it was based off a found object I though "I have to go this prop" but then after I saw all the work that was put into it, I said "Wow, I want to do this prop, but I probably wont, unless someone offers a kit" lol

I can't wait to see who it all turns out for yoiu. :)
