Doctor Who and The Masters Fob Watches? Active Project?

I've got to keep this short, I took a tumble down the stairs last night and feel like a used pinata, but I was looking at the Master's fob watch thread and was wondering why no one's loooking into ID'ing the right watch and getting them custom engraved?

Several are available, some exact replicas, sorry cant find the link, and the Character Options toy version.
The watch itself was a prop dept custom build.

Well, what I was thinking, after reading the original thread here-

Dr Who - Licenced Master's fob watch - anyone got one? - The RPF

Was that there seemed to be some dissatisfaction with the current offerings. IE; The actual Doctor's watch is just an oversized toy, and the Master's, while an improvement, has that extra button on the side. Also, a few people seemed to think the lights and sound were overkill. I thought it sounded like there was reasonable interest in just a nice, functional watch that was also an accurate prop.

When you say the originals were custom built in the shop, do you mean the whole case and everything? Or were they just converted there from existing watches?
