DIY Poor Man's GEPE from BSG

After thinking one of these would make a great addition to my up and coming man cave (CIC Project | My Journey...) I decided to see how difficult it would be to put one together.

After searching Lowes, Home Depot, and the internet, I realized I could not find the exact rubber stopper buttons, so I bought some generic 1" off the internet and trimmed the flash as to make them fit the printed background.

I know FusedNova made one that lights up (and he did a great job - http://www.therpf.com/f9/battlestar-gepe-panel-74472/) and had casted his buttons off the original but as I said, this was to be a poor man's GEPE.

I placed my printed backgound on my grey painted black plexi and voila, my poor man's GEPE.

Now if I only knew what GEPE stood for... :confused

Nice job Sean and the buttons look great! I think you can easily translate this to the larger GEPE panel. After all, the bulk of the cost is in the panel so an extra $20 is worth it.
