Diy graflex

I've recently started a plastic graflex build. I'm pretty much done except for the grips. I don't wanna buy any T-Track grips online. I'm just looking for a cheap alternative. Any suggestions?

I am not so sure about a replacement for the t-tracks. I would go onto the lightsaber forum if I were you.

I used the tines from a cheap plastic rake on an old hardware-flex I made as a kid.

You can also use Plastruct I-Beam and trim off the top of the "I" (this was a popular method back in the 90's).

a set of super accurate T tracks from ROy at wannawanga.com are only 12USD now and shipping is always free. It's extremely hard to beat that.

Is that the stuff that goes around the perimeter of a table? The profile is really thick at the base, both the base of the vertical part and the part that would go against the saber. You could make it work, but it'd be tougher than some of the other solutions. Plus it's got a sort of barb on the tip. That being said, I always like inventive solutions!

Some yard signs and decorations come with spikes that could be useful. Just cut off one side of the + to make a T. While they look about right on the rake, I've never found a rake tine that wasn't too small.

Anybody know any diy way to make the glass eye? I'm wanting to make TFA version

You could use a clear dome-shaped rubber bumper for the lens...

You could use one of these battery powered candles flanges (grinding off the knurling) with a cabachon for the lense.
