Thought I'd give this thread a bump with some new caps

These are from the scene where the two prawns are distilling the fluid.

You can see that inside the top of the cap is an iris, which closes as the process is completed, and the fins retract flat against the cap. There is a red flashing led which turns blue as it closes.

Anyone start making one of these or have ideas on parts to use. A few weeks ago I got hosed by a seller on the bay that suposedly made one (picture below). Seller stated that he used corn oil and food coloring on the fluid part, and that the item is plastic. Still waiting for Paypal to refund my money:thumbsdown

The pictures posted a few weeks ago of the prop on display clearly show that is was made from an acrylic tube with vinyl added.
Through the window you can see some of the decal from the back that was painted over.

Sorry to dig this thread up, but this seemed the most relevant of the D9 threads. A guy made a PC case including a neat-but-not-that-accurate representation of the fluid tube. The whole thing's pretty cool anyway, and you may not have seen it before, so here:
