I've been thinking about doing a latex project for a while now but I was afraid it could end up being too complex. The video makes it look so easy I think I have found my project.

Yeah, it is sometimes hit or miss, but seeing as most of their stuff is built on the cheap and for backyard films it usually gets the point across.

Me too! Remember that to be screen-accurate the thumb needs to be cut
