As part of my overall project of recreating the Basement Elevator entrance to the Tower of Terror ride complete with a 10 min automated sequence of special effects, we are making a reproduction of the Hollywood Tower Hotel front sign complete with the fiberoptics showing "The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror." The video shows the real sign at Disney on the left, and our reproduction on the right. The majority of the sign has been completed, but work continues on the plaque portion of the sign with the fiberoptics which is turning out to be alot more work than we anticipated. Here is the result to date. I am simply the keeper of the project, the great majority of work has been done by professionals including Josh Brokaw of BreakAll productions in Las Vegas (making of the sign tombstone and base and rocks) and airbrushing the sign, Jade who airbrushed the rocks, and Donald Dean who is working on the plaque portion including the fiberoptic lighting.
