I love the world design of the Dishonored games. Dishonored 2 has tons of interesting fictional taxidermy of the unique species of Karnaca. I wanted to try my hand at replicating one and thought this bird would be the most fun to have mounted on my wall!
I sculpted the bird and branch from scratch in Zbrush, but thank goodness for game artist's uploading their high-res renders to places like Artstation. Pro-tip: if you're making a prop from a game, try doing a search for it on Artstation.com. You might find the actual modeling artist's upload of perfect reference photos or even Marmoset Viewer interactive 3d turnarounds.
I also made the plaque from a regular wood board. Cut to shape on a band saw and edges shaped with a router. The filigree was done with a stencil I drew in Illustrator and cut out on a Cricut Maker.
