I made one that's ~6 inches wide, and one that's ~4 inches wide.
It's digitally sculpted and then printed in a high detail acrylic resin in one piece (including the tails on the elephants). I did have to glue the tusks on afterwards.
(Slowly) working on a stand for it as well.
I know my wife was blown away since down to the smaller rivers on the terrain and the elephants eyes and toes are captured in relief on the model.
I may print a multiple part one eventually that's more the size of a desk globe- but that'd be some serious time and money to produce, even being able to do it at home.
I worked hard to make it feel alive
The elephants are all 4 unique and in motion poses.
I tried to give the impression of water motion on the edges as well.
Still haven't printed the luggage stand for it.
If there's enough interest I'll consider doing a run of maybe up to a 10-12 prints. Too much cleanup required to do really more than that.
Wanted to- wife was wanting it since she saw it. I did not win that argument. She told me that since it's a gift for her, she should have some day in when it's done. ;-)
