Digital ammo counter

I plan on getting a pulse rifle kit but i'm not happy about the extra 30.00 for the counter setup. Does anyone know how to wire one up? I saw another i loved that had lights and a working counter but not for 80.00. I built a basic counter like this years ago in school but can't remember and i can't find any plans for it online. I'd kinda like to add this to my other original prop guns i plan on making.

Either one. If i can find the plans for both it would rock. Also hello to another PA resident, there seems to be alot of us on here.

Wireing up a 7-segment display is just like wiring up a normal LED. Depending on what type you get it'll have either a common cathode or common anode. You'll need to limit the current to the LEDs with resistors but that's pretty much it.

I can't believe I forgot how to do it, it was a basic thing to learn in electronics class.

Hyperdyne labs makes those ,the basic ,or the deluxe style pulse rifle counter ....they aint cheap but they are fairly laid out easy to wire up.....

Yeah i saw them. The place i'm going with has them too. Problem is i'm not sure if all the 7-segment displays are the same size. i'll just go with the one they include in the slightly more expensive kit. its only 20.00 more and that's mostly shipping.
