As far as the walkie-talkies go, in the first film, they were using Kenwood TH-41 amateur radio UHF handhelds (440-450Mhz, not 27Mhz CB). One of them I'm almost 100% certain is a TH-41BT model, which is rather hard to find. And I think it uses the extended battery. I think some of them were TH-41AT models, which are usually a little easier to find. The BT series has a number of small DIP switches at the lower corner of the front that the AT series doesn't have. There is a shot of one of them on a desk that is definitely the BT, but I think some of the others were ATs, as I said above. However, I've not seen any on ebay lately. I'm collecting communications devices seen in movies (Trek comm, Ghostbusters radio, Galactica phones, etc.), so I'm watching out for a number of things. At the Dayton Hamvention this year I didn't see a single Kenwood TH series radio for sale (I guess that means they're all hard to find). Anyway, if they did indeed use AT models, you might just get the TH-21AT VHF model and substitute the UHF antenna, if you can find it. Those handhelds used a non-standard antenna connector; most amateur handhelds of the day used a BNC connector, the little Kenwoods used something else. The Kenwood TH series was sold around the time I got into amateur radio in 1986, and were sold for at least a couple years after that. I used to have the manufacturer brochures on the series, but apparently tossed them out some years ago. Googling doesn't turn up much, and I don't think there was much, if any, info on Kenwood's website. That's about all I can remember, I'd need to check my notes.
BTW, the keypad on those models was strictly for transmitting touchtones; it did nothing for frequency selection. The frequency was set from a set of thumbwheels on top of the radio.
I'm pretty sure at least some of the radios in DH2 were also Kenwoods, but a newer model.
