Very nice display! Any plans for items from the last Die Hard?

Re: Die Hard Trilogy Prop Collection Showoff **UPDATED 2/5/08** Page 1

Those look great! I love the way you displayed them.

No way that is the right weapon. His was a full sized M-9.

That looks like a plastic toy Beretta that was out many moons ago where you pull the trigger and it would make bang noise and the slide cycle.

With the amount of money spent on that very impressive collection I would get a cheap full sized airsoft to go with it.

True, he used the Beretta 92F or M9 as some call it. I have been looking and looking to get a decent all metal airsoft for my collection, but since this entire collection has only cost me under $150 I have been reluctant to pay the $150 for a gas blowback airsoft. Any suggestions?

This is a full sized all metal pistol, just the smaller version with the tactical rail.

Great job getting the collection together Jedi, It looks great!

Somebody mentioned items from the latest Die Hard, i just got around to putting this on my website today. I have a replica McClane credential set from Live Free/4.0. It is actually the only replica i own, But it is 100% screen accurate as it was printed from the original ID on file at the prophouse. The badge is very close, Just a very slight difference. 10 points to whoever spots it!

Thanks Simon.

Let me know if you got your "package". As for the DH4 props, I may add some later but I have an afinity for the original 3 more. Thanks.

Re: Die Hard Trilogy Prop Collection Showoff **UPDATED 2/5/08** Page 1

I thought some of you may dig seeing my new display i just put together. I decided to take the leap, and invest in a couple of Replica's to bring my Vest display to life a little. The vest is screen matched, The Holster and Badge holder i managed to pick up from an Ex Cop so the leather is nice and worn like the screen used version.

A member here kindly sourced me an NYPD Lt's shield at short notice (Thank you!)

Looks great Simon!! I thought about doing the same thing. Did you ever find out what Galco holster that was. I have seen a few on Ebay that match up pretty close.

It's the Galco ******* rig. It's the same as the Miami Classic only it uses wider shoulder straps in the harness.

Thanks JTS. I thought I had read on an Ebay listing that it was the ******* rig, but I wasn't sure if the seller knew what he was talking about. Thanks again!

Re: Die Hard Trilogy Prop Collection Showoff **UPDATED 2/5/08** Page 1

Keep in mind that Galco constantly updates their products, so the holster that was seen on screen will not be identical to what they offer now. The straps aren't as wide, and they have moved to a plastic four point clover connection. It used to be leather, but I'm unsure how long ago they made that transition, but it's been a while... http://www.usgalco.com

Ya...it's a "Detectives" shield...not a LT's shield.

Maybe I missed it or DH 2 Electric Boogaloo was just that bad. But how did McClain go from being an NYPD dt to and LAPD Det and then back in DH 3 he was back as a DT LT? Or was that just the mother of all plot holes?

I assumed that after the first movie, he elected to stay in LA and just transfered to the LAPD. By the time three rolled around, the marriage was on the rocks/over, and he had moved back to NY.

Jts got it spot on, I think that is how the story played out. After the first film he moved to LA and became a member of the LAPD. Then he had a bust up with Holly and moved back over to the NYPD.

In regard to the shield. That isn't actually a mistake. He does have a Detectives shield in Die Hard 4, Not a Lt's shield. The difference is much smaller than that and might only be noticed by somebody as anal as myself :lol

Keep an eye out on ebay for the holster. Although Galco don't do the old style 'comfort' straps that McClane wore, they do come up every now and then. I believe they stopped selling them around 5 or 6 years ago.
