Did Rubies Costumes Lose The ST XI Licensing

Cannot seem to find any links or listings for the ST XI costumes they once had advertised. Even a search of the term "star trek" yields nothing. I tried searching for "trek" and only ST-TOS shirts show up.

Did they lose the licensing for selling said costumes?

I hope so!

As a replica costume business I've never seen them produce anything anywhere even remotely close to screen accuracy.

I found them on the Rubies site using the product ID number 889115.

Here's a pic of the Deluxe Shirt I found online. Doesn't look all THAT bad.

I'd replace the dickie with a proper black turtleneck shirt, though. And mod the collar and add that seam separating the sleeves from the body, like in this pic:

Assuming the photos match the final product I agree these actually look pretty good. If they're reasonably priced I'll probably pick one up to check 'em out.

Rubie's track record showing accurate Trek costume photos is pretty good, so I'm pretty hopeful.

What's "not bad" about those Trek shirts though ?
Honestly look it's the cheapest most flimsy nasty greasy looking shiney polyester they could find.
They then send it to some sweatshop in the third world to have it sewn together with the bare minimum of thread to hold it together completely disregarding the construction or pattern of the real thing, wrap some silver plastic tape round the cuffs, whack a badge on.
Hey presto 1 deluxe Trek XI uniform.
If it was an episode of Only Fools And Horses you'd laugh your head off :lol

I thought this movie was about modernising the look of Trek, Rubies have managed to retrofy it, the damn thing looks like a bad disco shirt from the 70's.

I don't know... depending on the feel and thickness of the material I'd say it's workable but you'd probably have an easier time scratchbuilding.

on a side note, one of these days the heads of Rubies will answer for what they have done to costuming fanbase of the world, I only hope I'm still alive to see it.
