With Monkey Proof Welding? :lol

I remember a while back (years I think ), someone was working on a life sized (or nearly) walking eye from Johnny Quest or The Venture Bros.

Anyone know if it ever got made?

I don't recall seeing any finished photos but I do remember there being suggestion of using outdoor lighting globes for the body.

The one in the cartoon is pretty damned big. I would guess somewhere in the 10-12' range easy with bent legs.

4 legs, one center sphere, one GIANT EYE OF DOOM.

Hell, this might be something I have to tackle, even at a scaled size. Seems too "easy" not to :lol

But if it's scaled you can't wash it in the yard! lol

While not "life-sized" by any means, I remember what I considered one of the biggest jokes in the history of garage kits. Back in the early 90's, I found a garage kit someone had made of the "Dr. Syn Mechanical Eye" from Jonny Quest! Only 60 bucks!

What you GOT in the box was a ping-pong ball sized sphere of resin with a tiny hole drilled in the top and 4 pieces of wire, which you glued into the hole and bent into shape!

I know of NO ONE who actually put down sixty bucks on that little sucker.

Damn.. that's just mean :lol

I don't think I am going to try and make this "life size" cause that sucker is HYOOJ, but I might be able to make one about 7-8 feet tall.

Gotta find a decent thing to use as the base for the "eye" though.

That and I have to figure out where to put the damned thing once I finish with it :lol

I can just imagine moving it around the yard when I am trying to mow.
