Did anyone ever buy one of the LIS laser pistols?

There was a thread back when this pistol was originally announced with a number of folks saying that they had one on order, yet no one ever followed up with any kind of a review.

Just wondering if anyone ever picked one up and if so, what are your impressions?

Another bump to see if anyone ever purchased one of these.

The thought crossed my mind to purchase one when I first read about these.

Then I saw the price.

From the 'What's New!' page:

Check back here on a regular basis for product updates, new licensing deals and convention appearances in 2004.

No update since 2004? Doesn't sound very encouraging to me.

David.

I've never seen one. I thought those were Coyle-built tho. You might track it down that way.

Yes, they are made by Coyle.

I am still looking for someone that has purchased one that can give something of a review and/or detailed pics.

p.s. Sorry for bumping a more than two month old thread of mine, but I still can't believe that no one here picked one of these up (I guess maybe the price proved to be above what the market would accept).

I don't have one but I have compared it to my Icons one.

This one was "fatter". For some reason it looked bloated. It was longer by a good inch and was generally bigger in most dimensions.

I thought this was odd due to the fact that the originals were made from a toy.

Odd.

Anyone know if the ICONS version used the specs from the original toy or is it possible that it was undersized?

Well I guess I am showing my age, but I had all of the "Monkey Division" toys when they first came out in the early 60s and IIRC that is the pistol that they used as the base (when I think of the toys that I had when I was a kid and what they would be worth today... :lol).
