is it ever said in the show why dexter wears the old waltham ?
im up to season 6 and have not heard anything yet

I don't think they ever actually say, but you see Harry wearing it all the time. I'm assuming it was just a sentimental thing for Dexter.

From my search. The Dexter watch is silver toned and does not have those cross lines in them. So the gold tone watch you have pictured is the correct watch but wrong color.

yea i actually just got the silver one because same case shape and the dial color very close and same year so i figured why not
got the gold very cheap

If you check the other thread, someone else also had the gold one and took the case in and had it silver plated. So the only the hands and hour marks were gold toned. Something to think about in getting your Dexter watch. I haven't found one for myself yet, just actually started looking to put together the cloths and props recently, so have a ways to go.

the gold very nice. had it all restored. they are hard to find now. the funny thing is dexters prop watch didnt run
