Dexter's Kill Bag and Tools

dexter kill bag complete.jpg

this is the best kill bag ever.
I don't remember seeing the custom cleaver on the end or the fillet looking knife next to the original custom kill knife before .
anyway had not seen this screenshot on here and wanted to share as it had some new weapons to me it is from season 8 episode 8, 34 min 14 sec into the show (at least on Netflix)

I totally agree, although I haven't heard anything lately as to when the Lumen knife will ever be made.

I'm in on the Lumen knife, big custom cleaver, and the Estrada knife!

I was looking for the dooms day killers backpack that carried the stolen John the Revelator sword after screen matching it to an Eastpak , look what I found right next to the DDK bag . right size shape even has the cord tied on the zipper and no diamond shape pattern. this is my new pick for the Dexter duffle it looks closer to me than the north star bag.

oh yeah sorry It's a Eastpak unisex rollout large black duffle. every time I see Dexter with it he is carrying it with the logo side in or its a top view so I don't know it they just blacked out the logo or took it off or what, it is 30 inches a little bigger than the other bag which seems to match a little better . Travis had a large tan and dark brown Eastpak gym bag truthfully I forgot the model of his bag after I saw this .

well my crazy florescent lighting makes the bag have a blue tint for some reason in the photos but it IS BLACK and looks the same color as the one a few post up in person. (maybe I should take it outside for a photo?) anyway after removing the Eastpak logo it seems a perfect match for Dexter's duffle there is a inside pocket which I don't remember seeing it the show and seems useful until I opened and closed the bag a few times and the zipper gets caught on the little pouch most of the time so im sure the props department cut it out as well just for ease of opening the bag. and as far as the little clasps that hold the shoulder strap on as well as the strap itself. I have come to the conclusion they don't matter. in season 8 episode 8 when Dexter and Hanna are looking for Kyle you see him carrying his bag it has plastic clasps and no padding on the strap then when he is inside the hotel room there are metal clasps and a padded strap and you see it change again later I can only assume the strap or clasp broke sometime during filming and they replaced it the best they could at the time . when I get the Northstar bag back from my girlfriend I will get some comparison shots between the two ( and better lighting so you can see the true color and look of the bag) anyway I am more than happy with it. also almost got my needle pouch done woo hoo.

I also notice the zipper on the side of the bag (which I never noticed on the show) seems to disappear in the photos as well .

it is a good choice for Dexter too the inside of the bag seems plastic coated ( in Dexter's world would translate to easy clean-up of any accidental blood getting in the bag) nice choice Dex .

Dexter's starting kill knife for season 2 seems to be a type of v44 bowie knife the only use he got out of it was to cut free jimmy serenio and kill little chino (not his own machete) his third kill that season was the car salesmen he either used the same SOG he used to kill Lila or something similar. after that the mundial cleaver and a chainsaw then the SOG it was a slow killing season for Dexter . anyway I had been wondering about earlier kill knifes and had not seen this one mentioned on here so after I found out what it was though I would pass it on.

both the v44 and buck and a few others have almost the same blade and hand guard, but the pommel only matches the v44 style with both a single bump by the pinky and the two piece wood riveted on a full tang piece. (ww2 originals might have been made by buck though ) now there is all kinds of cheap copies.

the 120 general was when he was younger. I know my pics suck but look at the one where he is cutting free the blind voodoo victim at the hand guard and blade is much bigger then the 120 general .

I have a thread for all the kill knives minus the main kill knife (drew smith is taking orders) and the global spatula "pinder knife" (I have the measurements and what not so one can be made. Along with the knife roll. It's in the junkyard
