Dexter's Kill Bag and Tools

i tried over an hour and since its the bag with the patch the pockets must be smallr cause there is no way its goin in there

Rbeato, I have the old bag and my saw fits in a little tight you just gotta go slow.. I know DP said the same thing with his old bag and the real rachiotomy saw!!

no not all 12 pockets are the same size, the 2 outer ones are wide as the big bone saw and cleaver fit in those

but the pockets in the older ones must be a bit bigger, but i got it to fit but a slight modification, basically cut the fabric in side that pocket, and it slipped right in, and it does not cross over to hit the knives in the other pockets, so it worked out, good i need one of the old real ones

Finally snagged the correct knife roll on ebay a few days ago. The best part... it was filled with Messermeister knives!

I also swooped up the lock pick set. This is really fun. I've already broken into my apartment a few times. LOL

LOL Thanks, man!

What were you searching for? I'm super surprised I had zero competition for this thing. My search was for "messermeister roll". It was right out in the open. ;)

I was at over $580 in Messermeister knives/whatever (new price) that came with it, so I'm extremely happy.

yea i search messermeister roll everyday and never saw it or you would have had competition lol. but i can't find it on ebay under completed auctions under messermeister roll. i find it when i type in messermeister alone.

Hello Guys,
My names Sean and I'm fairly new to this thread. I have read most of it and have seen how much work you guys have put into your kill bags. I'm currently working on mine. If you don't mind I have a question for you. I found this bone saw online and it seems to be like the original prop used (small bone saw) although the blade is wrong. What do you guys think? Thanks for any help you can give.

actually the small bone saw top part of the handle that holds the blade is rounded upwards a bit. thats basically the same as the ems big bone saw that is correct with out the bump in the top of it. only way to get a small bone saw is to get a substitute one for the time being, either the very small one, or the others that a few of us scored. i had opened a interest thread a while back to try and get more but no one responded to it so i closed. it. honestly for a big bone saw like the one you have pictured is to buy the saterlee ones they sell on ebay for cheap and replace the big knob with a flat head screw which makes it more screen accurate. and hopefully Tom will have time one of these days to get drew and I the measurements of his actual real small bone saw so drew can make up some CAD files of it and I can have them made up.

Thanks for the information. I plan on buying the Saterlee ones from ebay probably tomorrow. I had read the part of the thread where you guys were discussing replacing the thumb screw with the flat head screw. I had a question though on the flat head screw. Is it just a plan one you can find at a hardware store or are they something special? If you guys do make replicas of the screen one please sign me up, I would love one. The small saw and the kill knife are the two items that I worry I won't be able to get a hold of. I've been hoping that Drew will do a second run of the kill knife but it sounds like he's go his hands full right now. Well thanks again for your help I really appreciate it.

Yea for mine right now I haven't bought the real screws for the saws, right now I'm using the two extra screws drew sent me for my kill knife which just happened to fit. But I would just go to a hardware store once you get the saw(don't take it in or you may get some odd looks lol) but take the knob and find just a screw that is the same length and as flat as can be on the top to try and give it the screen accurate screw. But the big saterlee bone saws are only like $21 + shipping. And hopefully with toms help when he gets time to do measurements of his drew can do the cad drawings and I can take them to my two guys who have machine shops. The blade will be easiest to cut but the one thing I doubt it will have are the jagged teeth (how one goes more left and one more right) they will just be straight but will still have the same look. Then will have to see how the handle will be made since it will require a kind of thick piece of stainless, which honestly might go with aluminum since the handle layout can easily be cut but would not be rounded and aluminum would be a lot easier to round off. But for the time being I can get one more batch of the other small substitute bone saws.

i still swear my henley isnt that color, i need someone who has an american apparel store oneday, if you plan on going let me know since it can be called the army olive or whatever some are different shades, and i want a darker shade one, cause DP yours looks like an olive brownish color which is how it looks on the show, next week i'm going to need to build a special stand with plastic on the bottom in a square, a little long, and has wood at the top of the plastic with another piece of wood on top of that piece so the prop sits right on the stand. can't wait for the unveiling....but if you can figure out what stand i'm talking about you know what i have and have sent pics to someone who had it in their office at the studio and was told that will be perfect for that once its done. but i need a few of these now as well.
