The blade is 8 inches on the dot.

Also, it looks like we have to decide which side of the blade gets cut which way. I assumed they only had one side of the blade with markings...

I think we should use the "made in japan" side because it looks like it would be easier to scrape off rather than the dark "global" label.....no?

The logos are just lasered on, so they would be easy to remove with some light sanding. So it probably doesn't matter. However, the only shot we have that shows lettering on the blade looks more like the global logo than the part number.

I'll try to get mine cut tomorrow and post up pics of the aftermath. I just need to decide 100% on the pattern.

How are you gonna cut the knife do you have a stencil?

The logos are just lasered on, so they would be easy to remove with some light sanding. So it probably doesn't matter. However, the only shot we have that shows lettering on the blade looks more like the global logo than the part number.

I'll probably do the base cutting with a dremel or pneumatic cutoff wheel, final shaping will be with a grinder, and probably a false edge the same way. Some light sanding to "erase" the logos, and blend it all together.
