dexter watch

DP, is that your watch currently up? I traced the watch back to "Onkore". (presumably you, with all of the movie prop/memorabilia sales and purchases)

The guy that currently has it up appears to have scored another Waltham 25 out of a $55 lot 2 weeks ago. Can't believe I let that one slip by. He also has purchased Dexter's Twist-O-Flex separately (to put on the one in the current listing), so presumably this guy understands the 25 jewel's and the Twist-O-Flex's significance.

(Is inconspicuously talking about auctions that may or may not be for items of interest against forum guidelines?)

The watch that is currently on ebay belongs to khantalha, he bought DarkPassenger's watch.

that is my watch that i bought from DP.. i have to let it go to help my GF out since i just bought a new iphone 4s 64gb and a corvette and totally broke now lol.. i bought that gold one for my brother. wouldve kept since it ws the best looking one i had but my GF comes first! also found another one local but its in pretty bad shape decided to keep that one and having it fixed as we speak.. will post pics up once its done. my brother will be on here later to talk about getting his replated. if not than any help for that would be appreciated

he should go through the place i used, Electroplating
just have him plate the bezzel glossy rhodium and the rest matte rhodium to look like the stainless one, and he can do the hands and face, it is quite expensive, mine costed almost $300 to have the work done on it, and that included a new crystal and reservicing, if your brothers doesnt need all that and plating it will be less, as far as the markers which were very difficult for him to get completely rhodium plated it was very tough, as the gold plated to the markers on the face were plated on there well but he can have it re-done for $60 and the markers will be the stainless color. or you can have the entire watch rhodium plated gloss and the watch looks all shiny! But the owner Denis is a real nice guy

its so weird how some gold and silver either have pointed hands or flat hands, must have been the year they were made. seen quite a few gold ones lately with flat hands when i thought it was only on the silver ones.

is it me or in episode 7 when you can catch a good glimpse of Dexters watch band when he is in the car driving up to the Mitchells house, doesn't it look like the thicker version of the band we all have since there is a thicker version of it, just looked thicker to me imo, maybe they changed it?

luckily one store in one of the malls in my city carries them, think they are $19.95, but i want to be sure its now the thicker before i go out and buy it...ill try to get some screen caps

Once I get my gold one serviced I'll probably end up wearing that one. The silver one on the other hand I'm too worried that something might happen to it. So I may wear it for special occasions but for the most part it's become a display piece.

I wear mine, but am very careful with it, i love it to much to not wear. Plus the look alone makes it a helluva nice looking watch, if i ever score another stainless one that is or is not mint condition like mine then i will keep this one for display only and wear that one. but im not not currently seeking one out unless i find one locally, im hoping my trip to texas next week pay prove useful, where i'll be staying there are tons of little towns with in 15 miles in every direction with tons of pawn shops and antique shops so i may get lucky

I love when little packages show up on Saturdays!

I'll probably wear it about as often as I do the Diesels... on the weekends. It's amazing how thin it really is. I'm too used to my chunky Chase Durer. All it needs is some service work and the proper band swapped on. :)

Thanks, guys! It's already off to the jewelers for an estimate on repairs and whatnot. I only had it for like 3 hours. LOL
