i placed a bid on it and retracted it when i found out how much the current bidder bid it up to, already an insane amount for only a day in, lets just say when I bid i thought it would be enough to be the high bidder this early, but noooooope. ****in high price already.

out of curiosity to see if the watch on ebay will stay through the auction or be taken off, i wrote the seller asking how much they thought would be fair to end the auction, but was told right now the highest offer is $450. but didn't say if they were going to leave the auction up or take it down. hopefully this selller will leave it up so everyone has a shot at it, but im sure if the seller keeps getting higher offers they will pull the auction. looks like another lost due to private sales if the seller is telling me the current highest offer. lets just hope it doesnt be taken down so someone has a chance to buy it

so im sending the watch back in to have the markers painted silver, he said it should come out having some shine on them, and if not he'll refinish the dial, all fonts and everything will be the same at a fairly cheap cost.

watch still hasnt been pulled, but more bids have been placed, and whomever is in the lead must have put a huge bid in when they did at the beginning, i should contact the seller again to see what they have to say now to see if the best offer has risen lol, unless the person who bid is the one who has put in the highest offer and the seller knowing the bid wont be beat and leaving it...we all shall see soon enough

i think it'll go for around 550ish more people will come in and bid on it, then get it and realize they have to plate everything which is not cheap. thats why i was fine with doing mine, cause mine was a buy it now auctio" for cheap, i was indeed in shock that day when i realized i was "committing to buy" the watch for so little even though it was gold

Check the junkyard. Due to some unforeseen bills I have no choice but to sell my Waltham 25 jewel Dexter watch with band. It's on eBay with a high buy it now, but can you blame me? But since I know a lot of you quite well I will also accept offers through PM. Pics of my watch can be seen on one of the previous pages. The reserve is $500 on eBay which I think is fair after how much I spent on everything for and done to the watch.

i apologize for the ebay auction ad with the title dexter watch as it was not my doing, i had my father put the auction up while i was at work, if i could have changed the title i would have but a bid was already placed and could not. but on this board, it is considered the dexter watch...just like its called the dexter kill knife, etc...I just know there is one person out there after me for this auction that has been tracking my post for the few who have needed help wanting to watch this season and i show them the way to, giving me hell for it, amongst other things.

The hands of the gold and the silver watch are different. The hands on the gold one are pointed where the silver hands are flat ended. That's the only difference I know of on the face. I think the ticking hand is slightly different also.
