I agree! What an episode!!! It was sad seeing Isaak die. I liked how in the end him and Dexter ended up being cool with one another and now Dex going to avenge his death. This season we have finally seen true change with Dexter, I didn't like Hannah before but now want them to work out since for once he is happy. Why couldnt the writers deliver like this in season 5&6. Check the kill tools thread for a screen cap of the kill tools shown tonight in the credits.

Agreed, and I'm glad Dex wasn't the one to off him. All the storylines are coming to a head, and I'm genuinely excited for all of them. Even Quinn redeemed himself somewhat.

Isaak has opened up Dexters eyes immensely as far as love and feelings. Ray Stevenson will be missed on this show even if he was only around for 9 episodes. I agree, I think this was one of the best episodes of the series.
I was surprised that they killed off Issak before the end of the season and of the 2, I would have rather seen Hannah die. We are starting to see other sides of her, but I still don't think anything good is going to come out of it.
Dexter has left a lot of loose ends this season and I think some of them are going to blow up in his face now that Laguerta is starting to zero in on him. I don't think them showing the deck of his boat covered in Issak's blood was just for the gore.

I have a slight feeling Dex is going to kill Hannah ... In the preview when Dex has to explain his dark passenger and then the snippet of her saying you have to choose. To me it seems like why Dex "loves" her is because she accepts what he does, and if she shows that she doesn't truly accept who he is the butterflies may disappear. That's what I'm hoping on anyway Ha Ha Ha.
This season nearly has me excited as season 4... Can't wait to see the seasons end, is it possible it will be more shocking then '4s end! With Maria getting close it could be!

After LaGuerta suspecting him, probably not a good idea to tote isaak out to see while losing 4 pints of blood in the boat

I'm thinking the same thing. In interviews with the Producers at the beginning of the season, they mentioned that the main story arc was going to cover the last 2 seasons of the show. I think the intensity level is going to keep building all the way to the end.

Considering that Dexter has killed way higher profile people than LaGuerta, I highly doubt this will pose as a problem.

Or maybe Hannah will kill LaGuerta to keep Dexter safe; LaGuerta doesn't fit Dexter's code, so I think he'd have some difficulty killing her himself. Regardless, I don't see the relationship between Dexter and Hannah ending well.

That's actually a nice way of eliminating both characters. I think Dex would rather defend himself and/or run rather than murder an innocent who's just doing her job, despite his homicidal urges and outlook on self preservation. He was just as conflicted with Doakes.

my wife an I were just echoing what everyone else is saying - awesome season...right up there as one of our favorites.
We have one thought that differs tho - we were thinking Deb kills someone before it's allover...
we did consider Deb killing hannah because hannah will kill Laguerta.
or
deb kills laguerta because she finds out about Dexter.

Pretty sure Prado was just as high profile as her, considering he was Assistant District Attorney. However, if she starts targeting Dexter and involves Jack (I think that's his name) If anything happens to her, he'll step up and and expose him as well to get his job back maybe?
