I'm not sure how I feel about Isaak being Dexters biggest nemesis...I sort of feel like he is just like a hundred other mob-boss characters that I've seen in so many movies and shows. He certainly is a bas***d; and we don't really know why he is so ruthless, but he seems sort of flat to me...not that I don't really like the actor (Ray Stevenson) playing him...he's terrific. But it's a part that is getting to be a bit too cliche these days. Maybe I've seen too many mob characters.

Anyway, I thought it was a real psychological revelation that Dexter transposed his need to kill into a need to ****....thought it was a brilliant step in his 'human' evolution, if you know what I mean. But it probably was the biggest strategic mistake he could have made also...(as indicated by the episode title). I do agree and hope she isn't going to be another Lila/Lumen relationship either.

I've had this sinking feeling that Quinn is going to get offed this season for some reason. No evidence...just a gut feeling.

if you look at that "coming soon" pic of the new kill tools doesn't that one kill knife handle look to be more like the lumen style but with the original blade tip?

With Batista looking to buy that restaurant, Quinn getting dirty and LaGuerta looking into things she should just leave well alone, I get the feeling that season 8 will see less of Miami Metro.

I can't wait until the Hannah storyline is wrapped up. For some reason I have zero interest in it. Hope she ends up on Dexter's table. Melahbe she goes after Deb?

I have a sad feeling Quinn is dead this season.

I am still loving Isaak. I am happy him and dexter are sharing some screentime together. Their conversations are great.

Doesn't seem likely. On IMDB it shows Yvonne Strahovski being in episode 12. She needs to go at some time, or maybe next season her and dex will go on a killing spree and it ends in the typical bonnie and clyde scenario.
The rest of the season is going to be intense. LaGuerta needs to be off'd asap! That will suck if she is the reason Dexter goes down.

I definitely can't see this series ending in Dexter's favor, it seems like everyone and their mother knows he's a serial killer these days. Way to much exposure.

I saw that plot point concerning the 10,000 loan coming. I hope they do something unexpected or just have Batista never find out about where the money came from. Way too predictable.

And looks like Dexter maaaay find out about Deb's feelings. Though Dax probably won't pick up on it.

Dexter really needs to kill somone, hopefully Hannah. His last kill was Speltzer and he seems to be making some questionable decisions.

Since they always seem to wait until the last episode of the season to off the really bad guy or gal, I've been wondering if Issak is the one the kills Hannah and Dexter kills him and everything goes to hell from there.

I agree about Quinn, he has gone too far to be able to stay on the force, something is probably going to happen to him. I just hope the 10 grand does not backfire on Batista, somone might think he was in on the bribe.

I think something is going to come to head between Dexter and Deb, what with her appearing to ask him to kill Hannah in the previews for next week.

It was in the end of last nights show, not the previews for next week, she asked to flat out take care of Hannah 'his way'.

I think we will soon see LaGuerta start to investigate Dexter and ofcourse not tell Deb about it ofcourse. She will start to rememeber how Doakes always said how Dexter was a psycho and hiding something. Yep definitely by the end of this season it will end badly for him. Should be great.

production wanted to finish with this season. But showtime make lot of audience. Executive producer Sara Colleton confirm this.

If 8 is going to be the last season, then this season will probably end with Dexter in really big trouble and they spend the last season getting him out of it, killing him or having him go on the run.

I would love for the end of season 8 to find Dexter still alive and free, leaving the audience free to feel that he might continue getting rid of evil people that fall through the cracks. Plus, that would leave it open for a big-screen movie some time in the future.

I think Hannah is probably the first person that Dexter is feeling completely honest affection for. Yes, he loved his folks and Deb and Rita and Harrison, but there was always something reserved and strained or intelectually contrived about his feeling for them. With Hannah, he is feeling that sincere chemistry that we all desire in a relationship. His 'dark passenger' is finally evolving in this season.

I agree that Quinn is going to take a bullet, so to speak, for Nadia.

just now on IMDB I looked at some stills from the upcoming episodes and Astor and Cody are in them. I don't think Dexter would allow them to come to Miami with the threat of Isaak out there so he must go Orlando, maybe Isaak follows possibly finding out about them all and ofcourse threatens to kill them all leading to him and dexters showdown...?

I'm very interested to see what happens with Laguerta. I wonder if her thinking about Dexter while looking at the list will mean he's now her #1 suspect. Now that Deb thinks laguerta is done investigating, Laguerta can still persue the case on her own with Dexter in mind. Maybe Deb will tell Dexter that Laguerta is done and Dex will let his guard down.

True. I was wondering about the lack of Harrison in a season centered on what we are to assume is the vengence of a grieving father.

Maybe they thought it would be too much having that whole father/son angle rammed down our throats.

I'm just amused that we almost have Dexter facing off against the Punisher this season.
