Delta-38 Republic Commando photo-shoot

I recently hit a milestone in my Republic Commando armor...it's wearable, but I still want to do a bit more weathering, and upgrade the boots. Anyway, I had the opportunity to make use of some photographic/studio equipment, so had a go at getting a few photos. I'm still waiting on the shots taken on slide film, as they're the ones that'll have the studio lighting, but these are some digital ones that were taken at the same time.

It's great armor to wear (built from a great kit ;) ), and I totally dig the design. Quite happy with the way these quick photos came out...the processed ones, when I get them, will hopefully have more balanced lighting.

:eek Awesome!

I think the weathering looks fine as it is, in my opinion. But it's your armor, so you'd know best.

Brilliant job. :thumbsup

I so had one of these kits.....Then found out that I am Way to small to pull an RC off. Anyway it went to a better person. The only thing I would add is to maybe airbrush the ab detail in. Just follow the lines of the ab plate. That was one of the things I noticed from the guys who made these kits. They did that to their ab plates. I think the weathering looks great!!!!!! Way to go!!!!!!!

Thanks for the comments. The weathering that I still have to do is the adding of "dirt" that will highlight the lines/detail...basically I've just done the paint-chip effect so far. This is a second-gen ab plate though, which has more sculpted detail (it was the first-gen version that the PA guys airbrushed, IIRC).

I've uploaded more pics here: http://outpost42.dr-maul.com/cpg147/thumbnails.php?album=108

These are just variations from different angles :)

That's a really impressive job, I'm definitely happy to see a Boss and not just another Sev (not bashing on him at all though, they're all neat characters).

Could someone in the know let me know where I can get this armor and will it fit a 6'3 230 lbs frame?
Thanks

Exceptional job! !

I noticed a thread for one helmet that had the "claw print" on it, but I never caught the manufacturer of the parts- unless of course you fabricated everything yourself!!:eek

I especially like the backpack with the LED numbers- is that referenced from the game [life meter?]

I'm not one to go trooping, still I love the 'art" of body armor and spacesuits, so this one really stands out to me- is there a manufacturer for components or should I be looking for you and others to teach this Padawan?

Again- outstanding job! :eek

Nice job on the armor! I'm hoping to get some RC armor in the near future. I'm a little "stout" :lol for the regular clone armor (5' 10" - 210 lbs.).
