I purchased a urethane batman begins cowl sometime ago, and initially was able to fit into it, albeit tightly. However, I am no longer able to fit into it, as it feels as if the elasticity of the rubber has been reduced. (Possibly due to weather/humidity?)

Does anyone have any ideas on how I could go about attempting to fix this? Or what I should do in the future to avoid things like this?

(For reference, the cowl is sized for up to 23.5" , and my head is roughly 22".)

Any ideas/opinions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Have you lost or gained weight? Could be an option for not fitting

Nope, maintained the same weight, and re-measured my head to still be the same.

Depending on the kind of rubber used, dry heat or sunlight can make it dry out and possibly shrink a bit. Has it cracked on the surface at all when you've tried to put it on?

Have you tried using a balaclava to help ease sliding it on/off the head? Simple solution but does the magic for me!

Sorry for the late responses. :c

Nope, no visible cracking has occurred.

Yeah, I generally use a head covering for any prop helmet/cowl I wear.

I'm tempted to try lubricating my head with conditioner, or something, and trying that.
