Hi,

I want to show you my Lucius Malfoy's mask, from the last HP movie, made for a friend. It still needs more work but it's almost done. What do you think??

Do you have any suggestions about make the drawing lines thinner and sharp?

Thanks and sorry about my English! (Spanish man...)

Never saw the movie so I don't have a good reference in my head, but just the mask itself look really nice.

I like that alot, although not a big harry potter fan,
maybe you could use spackling putty(available at any hardware store and even wal-mart!) and use your finger to fill in the lines and wait until it is dry (when it is dry, it like a hard chalk material and is removable with water) and sand it very lightly and using something thin and sharp, maybe an x-acto knife go back and trace where your lines were filled in with spackling putty except thinner and once you do that, just apply another coat of primer. Im not sure if that is the best way but that's what I would do.

good luck!

Hey. The mask overall looks really nice. One thing that is off and will solve your problem with the lines is that the prop didnt' have the lines carved in. Here's a pic of it. Might be easier to just fill the lines in, base coat the mask, mask off the areas around the design, and spary a few coats of paint to build of the layers and get the rasied design.

Mold it, get yourself a double boiler, and make a cast copy in either wax or hard castiline. That would be rigid enough to rework to get nice crisp clean sharp lines. Use Pantyhoes to polish it when done.
