Hey Guys I posted a pic in another thread about this but figured I'd show what I have right now. This is as far as I am going with it since its not mine, so its not glued down or padded out but I think its got a great bowen statue feel to it. I'm going to have to make one for myself :love

Re: Deadpool suit, WIP

I dig. :thumbsup

So what materials are you using to create these awesome suits?

Re: Deadpool suit, WIP

man you are awesome
I'd never exercise if I could make those muscle suits :p

I'd love to come see your workshop one day!

Re: Deadpool suit, WIP

Just awesome as always Mark. :thumbsup I really dig the whole look but especially like the way you blended the chest/bicep with the lower arms. Is that neoprene for the lower arms?

Soulinertia, as far as I know it would be latex with hours and hours of mold time. Have no idea where he finds the time. :confused:cool

Re: Deadpool suit, WIP

:lol Thanks alot guys!, The great thing about this torso and legs is can be made any character, I think green lantern might be next :)

As far as material the torso and legs are latex, so Clinton, the arms you see are also full latex. There is a little room in them but once stuffed it would keep its shape, but it does sort of look like neoprene in the pic.
I appreciate the comments:thumbsup

Oh sorry Mark, thought the seam line looked like well a seam line.)
Your using glass molds for this though correct? Way too much time for me. Can't wait to see the GL suit next. :thumbsup

Re: Deadpool suit, WIP

Ya the torso is fiberglass the legs are plaster I made them yrs ago but never really used the mold. Its tough getting the seams on that torso mold, since there in only a small arm hole to go threw and then its quite a while for drying time.

Re: Deadpool suit, WIP

Look awesome. My only suggestion would be to cut the black more into the abs and not have the red area so wide.. like the reference image.

Re: Deadpool suit, WIP

thanks guys, The pattern wasn't based off of the statue, but I thought the sculpted looked really ressembled the bowen deadpool. He wanted the red to be wide like in this example . If I used a thinner red stripe, it would have made the legs total black to line up with the chest pattern.

My initial paint was a thinner version

Great work. I have to agree, the stitching adds a lot to it. Did you just use a tool and stamp all along the areas to give it that stitched look?

Thanks guys, there is a ton of cool canadian stuff lately isn't there?? :love

For the stiching I used a pin wheel, I have seen stitch tools in the sewing section that would do the same thing. I bent the tines of the pinwheel then just run it where I want the pattern, really easy.
