Yeahh, unfortunately I follow them both as well as Jason to see how well the suit has held up and so far the reviews have been pretty positive. July can't come soon enough (I hope)

The seamstresses are killing it and we're making pretty good time! That being said! Everyone in the list, keep an eye out for the measurement chart coming your way if you haven't already received! Taking the next batch of measurements now!

Been following this thread a while, finally had to post. Amazing work! I can't wait to see more updates and pictures from people at cons in this stuff.

I'd kill for the Maximum Effort package. Does you offer payment plans?

Also, I'm wondering if you've had any requests for a female version of the costume? I'm sure it would require partial re-design and adjustments but I bet it would look amazing as a crossplay.

Hey guys, everyone that's sent in their measurements to me. Please confirm you measured #4 (shoulder to shoulder) correctly as illustrated here. We've been seeing some huge measurements that can mean you're either jacked or measured outside the shoulders instead of at the bone. Please double check and email me right away if you feel you measured incorrectly. Also, the chest, waist and hips are all circumferential even though the chart doesn't specify it. Same with bicep and thigh, circumference. Thank you!!'

I had mine measured by someone else who does take measurements. From bone to bone (shoulders)past the scapula not within according to him. I am a bit jacked not spidey fit ripped but avid gym goer for 7 years changes the body.

I put on a well fitted shirt and measured Seam to seam, it fell right on the edges of the scapula bones... But now I'm paranoid so I'll goo double check. Also measured thigh center, below where that inner groin muscle tapers off, I hope that's correct?

Thank you and everyone else who double checked for us. Unfortunately, this did result in additional work needed on the suits were the measurement was off the first time since those pieces were already pre-cut. Measure twice, cut once as they say...anyways. We're figuring out the best way to go about making this adjustments.

Another exciting update for the shop is we purchased @Crazydog500 vacu form machine so we are now doing our own vac forming in house too. We've really been making an effort to bring everything in house this year and I want to thank Josh for letting us get first dibs on his machine, when he decided to part with it.

Mostly interested in the swords and knives at the minute.

The UK has strict import laws, so weighing up options at the minute based on what you guys come up with.

Ideally, plastic/rubber katanas & boot knife would be perfect

On a side note, I was at Comicpalooza in Houston this most recent past weekend and I met Justin Harder ( the freelance artist who drew Deadpool in the ending credits). He happens to be about Ryan Reynold's height so when Ryan didn't or couldn't go to Mexico to shoot a movie teaser Justin was able to actually wear on the movie suit. He told me the suit's cost was $600,000 so for the price of $2500-$3200 I think we're getting a steal of a deal!!

He actually stopped me when I was strolling around in El_fett's mask to take a picture. He said the mask's quality was the BEST he's ever seen, and this is coming from someone who was able to see the mask in person and wear it. He was blown away when I removed one of the eye pieces to see his artwork more clearly. Luckily I bumped into him, I guess this is one of those once in a lifetime experiences, and it just so happened he was associated with the Deadpool movie! It's too bad they didn't give him credit though, I'm sure he would be more followed if that were the case.

That's a great anecdote, but I'm pretty sure Justin's misremembering the number of 0's he was told about the suit's cost. I worked on some of the suits for Civil War, and I'm friends with the lead fabricator of Deadpool's suits (who has also praised El Fett's work here). These supersuits usually run between 20,000 and 80,000 each for principal photography. There's no way Film Illusions would have won the bid for Deadpool if they asked Fox for a half-million per suit when every other specialty costume shop delivers suits for a tenth of that. I'm positive the real figure was $60,000.

So yes, El Fett is providing a SUPERB deal on these suits, but not one where he's pricing his labor at a fraction of a percentage point of what professionals earn.
