A ‘quick’ build thread for a cosplay of Deadlock from 2000AD’s comic strip ABC Warriors. Created by Pat Mills and Kevin O’Neill.
This is based on a few early Deadlock artists, but mainly Kev O’Neill and Mick McMahon.
Here are my main references, or at least the ones I’m focusing on.
My 3D model. I’ve created this in blender and I’m using the project as part of my learning process.
3D print with a layer of filler paint.
Layer of (seemingly never drying) chrome paint.
Weathering with quick try of cloak.
As an alternative I might try to make an uncloaked version (N.B. I’ve had to begin repainting the head after an accident). The armour is 'quite' cheap off the shelf stuff.
Still plenty to do, finish the paint, add the eyes and LEDs etc. complete the back, weather the cloak and decided whether to give the metal work a green/blue tint.
