Hi All

Just finished converting a Sterling to a E11 and as I am rather chuffed with it I thought I would share it with you.

Open them up in any graphics program (heck, even MS Paint will work), resize them (50% will probably work for these), then replace the existing photos with the new ones.

You might want to also do a few standard shots (full sides, etc.). The close ups are nice, but it's hard to get a feel for the entire piece from them.

Well now this looks familiar ;)... and really sharp. I'm quite positive someone's longing to get his greasy paws on that most excellent blaster...:D

Outstanding--I'm jealous. I hope someday I can finish mine (just need to recover my sterling kit from a certain archer--but that's another thread). Great work man :)

great. :eek
:thumbsup
what are the cylinders made of?
[/b]

The cylinders are made out of fired brass .303 rifle shell cases which I get for nothing from my rifle club. I used a chemical blacking on them and heat treatment to get the distressed appearance, I think that that using differant finishes adds to the well used look. I use 2 cases to make each cylinder.

awesome. i just got my sterling today, and will be getting to work on putting it all together this week.

i'm setting my counter to my 501st id number... 7602. then breaking the reset button on the inside so that it never changes.

Get yourself some stamping tools and stamp your blaster up as well that looks great.

I kinda like the big ones, they make nice desktop images. :)
