I just finished the "David Jones" concept Thunder Fighter in 1:50 scale. I have to say that it was both fun and challenging.
The original template (at 1:32 scale) is available at www.paperaviation.de

Hi Raven! You’ve done it again, another great build of my favorite Starfighter. Amazing detail. I just had this one printed it on 11 x 17, with the cockpit you and Revell Fan designed. Gonna be big, and I can’t wait to have the time to do it. Great to see you on the rpf!

Thank you sir! It was a fun (but challenging) build (especially at 1:50 scale).
Having this template printed out on 11x17 cardstock is going to make for a very large model. If you want all of the greebling and details, I would strongly recommend printing another 3-4 copies (at that size). That way, you will have enough to (not only) make the greebles that you want, but if you make a mistake, you have extra parts. With that being said, I would love to see a build thread of your (upscaled) model. If you want a good guide for your build, here is the link to my build thread at www.zealot.com:
I have thought about making it at a larger (than 1:32) scale. However, I really do not have the room for it (unless I hang it from the ceiling). With that

Raven,
I built the standard Starfighter on 11 x 17, it’s about 16 1/2” long, I’m guessing around 1/20 scale judging by a 1/20 figure I stood beside it. It makes handling some of the small pieces a lot easier especially the pointy nose parts and the recessed cannons.

At that scale, greebling it out would be easy, indeed! I would love to see photos of it!
