Darth Vader in 'Night at the Museum 2'

If its this Vader, the one from the Burger King commercials and the latter part of the Episode 3 promo stuff, Don Bies told me its a repainted OG OT helmet.

Yeah, good match. The bulbous eyes and the reversed paint scheme, along with the ROTJ dome!

That's not a ROTJ helmet, it's a promo one.
If I could get better pics of the vader in the trailer, I could tell you what was used.

.

Yep, that's the one I saw on tv. Thanks !

I know the Vader is not any screen used suit, I'm just curious if it's the same tour suit from the Energizer commercials, the Pepsi commercials, the 'Indian in the Cupboard' movie, or if it's a mis-match of LFL archives post-ROTJ stuff.

I checked imdb and there is no actor listed as playing Vader.

Vader looks strange on that pic.

Part of it is the lens distortion of the picture, and part of it is the lenses. The lenses are not screen-accurate. They're very bulbous in shape, similar to the lenses of the Jeff ROTJ, and similar to the lenses of the LFL promo Vader below:

Here is a rough simulation of what the Burger King Vader could have looked like without the lens distortion.

and before I forget again, the actor playing Vader has been doing it for years. I cant mention his last name but his first name is "Tom". Nice guy, wears some padding under the suit to help fill it out.

Gino,
did you talk to Don Bies about it? There was a promo set of armor that was destroyed when Tom took a bad step off a platform. Everything went its own way, face mask went west, chest armor east, dome went north... and landed in peices. For the Burger King commercials, some stuff was broken out of storage. I forget what number the Vader helmet had carved into its forehead but there was a number there. Don had said it was OT stuff from ROTJ. Considering they had Palpatines fighting saber on hand, Ben's EP3 robes and belt, EP3 Chewie, OG OT R2 and 3P0 on hand, would make me wonder what era the Vader is from then? This was all before EP3 was released.

Here is the Vader from the side,

and the rest, we made the Jawa's and Fett, im on the far left as the trooper while the guy on the far right was a quick replacement since one trooper didnt show. I believe the trooper is a tour suit.

Hey Rob,
I can't really tell from that side view photo, but if it is the same helmet as the one in this pic, then it definitely is not an OT production made helmet.

Same goes for the rest of the costume components.

Amazing story robstyle :thumbsup.
Well even I don´t think there´s a screenused part in the NATM2 suit either, I must see the movie. I guess it´s the suit from the Indian in the cupboard or how this movie was called...

If yes, it´s screen used...from a certain point of view...lol

The following may or may not be the exact same promo "ROTJ" (clarification: not production but ROTJ in style). The lenses are a very similar bulbous shape, and the upside down "U" shape of the nose flares out in similar fashion.

LFL display at the Presidio:

Now compare the nose and lenses with the one I posted earlier:

Yep. But much less accurate than even the older LFL promo suits where they were more closely based (or cast) from the original pieces
That thing looks like a sad fan convention costume (who's owner never heard of prop forums).
