Darth Vader Chest/Cape mount options?

I'm going to be finishing up my ROTS vader soon and I'm using the rubies chest armor (repainted). I am looking for suggestions on mounting something to the chest and/or cape to all the weight of the cape isn't on just a plastic chain. Any tips/suggestions are welcome.

Aren't there two rings mounted directly onto the Rubies shoulder armor right where the plastic chain is supposed to hang? The cape attaches onto the rings so it only appears the plastic chain is the support.

I'm not using the rubies cape. I have a custom one. I figured it out though. Now I just need to keep the chest armor from being pulled back while wearing the cape.

Use Velcro to prevent the armor from flailing up

You could set a cape hook in the center spine of the armor. This was done for ESB. The cape hook basically caught the plastic chain and didn't allow it to ride up and throttle Prowse's neck - I suspect that's what you're trying to achieve?

Whereas the hook in ESB looked like brass, you might be able to fashion one or paint one that wasn't as noticeable.
