Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files - Password in First Post

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files

Thank you... now I am curious though. lol

That's a good one, I will add it to the list.

Is anyone else here having trouble logging on since we switched back to TheRPF domain? It used to automatically log me in when I visited the site. Now I have to log in every time and I get kicked out after about 5 min (sometimes even less) and then I have to log in again. It is very frustrating.

I am having the same problem, when I go from one thread to another or if I'm checking out the junkyard it kicks me out and I have to log in like 5 times.....who should we alert about it?

I have already contacted site administration regarding my issues but I have not heard back from them yet. I am going to clear my cache and cookies to see if that helps... it was suggested that doing that might solve the problem.

Amazing work!!! Great Job to everyone that contributed!! And thanks a million for sharing with us!

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files

Well It might not be too difficult to send out a set of low def files along side the high detail files... I would need somebody to unfold them cause I wouldn't want to spend my time on low def files.

For me the back and chest needs a more low def model. Other parts are great already and easy to pep. If you have the time just upload them and I'd unfold them for ya gladly. :)

Oh btw i made an easier to unfold mk7 chest out of your pep. Where should I upload it?

This is what I'm talking about:

I would've used a picture of the ACTUAL glove from the movie, but i dont have any HD pics of it laying around... so I used the PEP picture.

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files

Hello everyone.

I'm from Venezuela, and although I have been keeping an eye on these forums for a while, I thought I may just stop by and say hi.

Darkside501st, you're doing an awesome job. And all those involved with the project of modeling and unfolding the armour pieces.

I've been planning on making my own armour but for some reasons (mainly [strikethrough] money [/strikethrough] time constraints)I've been unable to continue with the project. I was planning to finish the Mk 6 Armour by the time of the Avengers Premiere, something I could not achieve, but I hope I can finish the Mk 7 by the time of Iron Man 3 Premiere.

I have been able to cut'n glue Sharkmark's MK 3-4-6 helmet with ease (a project that can take up to 4 days working full time on it, since cutting the pieces is a pain, it's easy, but time-consuming), and therefore I assume that putting the other parts of the armour together would be a breeze.

If I make any new progresses, I will keep you guys posted. As of now, I will wait for Darkside501st to make the Version 2 files of the MK VII armour (Because working on such magnitude project is very costly, Especially in a coutry with a truined economy such as mine). But in the meantime, I will keep working on the Mark VI.

Here's a photo of my slim progresses.

Keep up the good work, people!

New pics:

About the glove/hand, people knows about it but the diference between Mk II/II/IV/VI on gloves, boots, neck and helmet are zero. Instead, for Mk VII, they've changed everything.

Darkside said he wants to clear some doubts first and then he'll start on the costume ASAP, but without an ETA. Anyway I would suggest you to start making Zabana's gloves and boots which are 95% accurate to the Mk VII (100% for Mk II/III/IV/VI).

Any doubt, just let me know.

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files

I think this should clear the hand problem. Its clear the hand is still the same as all the other IM suits (2-6) because that part by the pinky is still flat, not rounded so it was probably just a little mistake in the picture.

Yes, it must be because the other pic I posted has a completly diferent hand than any other pic or movie capture.

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files

I would way that more likely is that part of the palm are supposed to be "floating" (in CG) to allow for full movement of the hand (pretty sure there is another picture where it appears the base of the thumb cover has moved as well), and in the abbove picture they just happen to be in a different position. I just want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the work you've put into these files. It allows a complete novice like me a remote shot at actually creating something awesome!

Great job on the build you guys that have posted pictures... they all look great.

Also, thanks to everyone who appreciates my files and hard work. I never get tired of hearing thanks for what I do. ;)

This is what I was talking about when I said that the glove was made in separate pieces to make it more flexible.

Yes, that is what I was calling the collar plate. I never got around to making that before I decided to start making the version 2 files. It is pretty simple. You should be able to free hand it with Sintra or Foam without too much trouble.

Saludos
